The competition is open to members of the Palm Beach
Freedivers and other recognized dive club members |

entry fee is $30 per competitor. |

is no limit to the number of members that can compete. |

TIMES,
LOCATIONS AND BOUNDARIES |

• |
The
staging area will be Phil Foster Park in Riviera Beach, FL. All
boats must depart from and return to Phil Foster Park. |
|
• |
Registration
will be from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. |
|
• |
The
tournament will begin promptly at 7:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m.
(THIS INCLUDES TRAVEL TIMES). ALL competitors on a boat not back
within visible range of Phil Foster Park by 2:00 p.m. will be
disqualified. |

There
are no North/South boundaries to the tournament area. The east
limit is 200’ of water and no farther East |

DIVING
AND SPEARFISHING RULES |

 |
• |
Diving
in the Intracoastal Waterway is allowed where legal. |
|
• |
Diving
at any man made, land based structure is not permitted (jetties,
piers, etc.). |
|
• |
A
Florida fishing license is required. |
|
• |
Chumming
is not permitted, but burly is, as long as fish are shot during
the tournament and cut up only while the competitor is in the
water. |
|
• |
Divers
must be completely submerged when spearing a fish. |
|
• |
No
power heads are to be used to land or burly a fish but are allowed
to be carried for diver safety. |
|
• |
No
spearguns allowed on the boat. |
|
• |
No
possession of a speargun in the water. |
|
• |
No
mutilated fish. |
|
• |
No
scuba tanks. Freediving only. |
|
• |
Emergency
tank allowed on boat. Use of tank will disqualify |
|
• |
Any
violation of fish and game laws during competition will be cause
for disqualification of that competitor. |
|
• |
Use
of polespears and slings only. Nothing that utilizes any type
of trigger. |
|
• |
Float
and float line are allowed |
